Apology Letter to Dad for Bad Behavior

By | December 12, 2016

Are you feeling bad about what you’ve done last night around dinner time? Need to apologize for you bad behavior?
A dad is the protector, a hero and a role model. Fathers are a boon for their children, and play a really important role in their lives. He guides, influences, and protects one throughout one’s life’s journey, and helps one tread the path as a warrior.

Many people walk in and out of your life but only your closest kin; your parents, stick with you through thick and thin. Your father is the one who understands and appreciates you best, as you are, and however bonkers you may be; he loves you and adores you for who you are. And “to vex your dad is an atrocious deed,” my grandma used to say.

If you have been fretful, rude and hurtful to your dad, you need to apologize instantly; you need to tell him how much you love him and respect him for all that he did for you, and the best way to express your feelings is to write an apology letter to your dad.

Be clear and straight-forward, the letter should contain your true feelings and just be precise; just simply write down the first thing that comes to mind, be honest and respectful.

Tell him what caused you to behave in the manner which hurt or offended him. Taking him into confidence will not only mend broken bridges, it will soften his heart. Don’t be surprised if, instead of being mad at you, he gives you advice that will actually help you in your predicament. He’s been there. We all have.

The following is a sample apology letter written to dad. With some changes, it’s all yours.

Apology Letter to Dad for Bad Behavior

Dearest Dad:

I know I made you feel bewildered by my behavior last night. I don’t even know where to start, I mean, it’s hard to elucidate. I’m sorry for abasing you last night. I’m sorry for hurting you with derisive words, and with my obnoxious attitude, and for being disdainful.

You have always been a garb of strength for me, and hurting you was the most terrible mistake I ever made. Your guidance and rules, lessons and teachings have been the most valuable asset of my life and in my up-bringing. I respect you the most and I will try my best to be more tractable, and will always try to live up to your expectations.

Dad, you always wanted me to grow up and be the jubilancy of your life. I’m sorry, and I promise to be the best son ever.

You mean more to me than anything else in the world!

With love,

Your Son,

Evan
