Sample Christmas Letter to Coworker

By | November 9, 2014

Wishing your coworkers a happy Christmas is a great way of getting close to them during the festive season. It does not matter if some of your coworkers do not celebrate Christmas (a different religion perhaps); they will still appreciate a greeting from you.

Since Christmas is a special time of the year for almost all of us, wishing people in the true spirit of Christmas is something we should all do. You spend a significant part of your day with your coworkers, so they eventually become family. Wishing your coworkers is similar to wishing a family member although you may want to keep your tone a little formal depending on how close you are to them.

If you write one standard Christmas letter to all the workers, you might have to be a little formal as it is obvious that you won’t be close to all of them. However, if you are writing to them individually, you can use any tone you like depending on who you are greeting.

Christmas lettersare not standard official letters so they do not have a format that one must follow. However, if you have a sample to refer to, it will make things easier for you.

Dear Joey:

We have worked hard and achieved all our sales goals for this year, and it is now that time of the year that we celebrate the blessings of our Lord. I would like to wish you a very happy Christmas and hope that the New Year brings you more success and peace of mind than ever.

The current year has been a complete rollercoaster ride. You and I have been under a lot of work pressure, but I believe that we have come out shining. With our goals met and our supervisors satisfied, it is now time to celebrate. I am organizing an office party for the sales team on December 23 (which is our last official working day this year), and I would like you to be part of it. On this day, we will leave all the stress behind and just look forward to what Christmas this year has to offer to us. Once I have figured out the details of the party, I will send you an invitation.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for the wisdom and support that you provided to me during our projects. I anticipate working with you on more projects next year.

Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Todd Azamon
