Sample Christmas Party Letter to Parents

By | December 3, 2014

Christmas is the time to celebrate and these celebrations have as much meaning for children as they do for adults. Christmas parties mark the end of school and these parties bring in much in terms of festivities. Schools often ask parents to join their children in celebrating Christmas at school. Sending out Christmas party letters is the norm nowadays.

Inviting parents to school Christmas parties tends to not only bring teachers and parents together but also boost children’s confidence – with a parent by their side on a school party is reassuring and a good bonding exercise. Many schools send out Christmas party letters to their students’ parents, detailing information of the party and any special instructions like bringing in a food item or dressing up in a certain way.

Since Christmas party letters need to sound fun, the necessity for being formal isn’t too high when writing one. You can simply inform parents that a party is being organized and that they are invited. Here is how one can be written.

Sample Christmas Party Letter to Parents

December 3, 2014

Dear Parents:

Barrington High School would like to invite you to a Christmas party arranged by the school administration at the school venue. With this party, we would like to mark the end of the academic year and cheer the New Year in while celebrating Christmas with fervor. Please refer below for details regarding the information:

Date: December 15, 2014
Time: 2:30 PM
Theme: Snowflakes

There is much fun that we have planned for this special day and our students are busily working towards making this a memorable event. Each student has been asked to bring one food item of his or her choice. If you would like to volunteer your time and effort in helping us decorate the event hall, please fill out the enclosed form and return to the school office as soon as possible.

The theme of the party is “Snowflakes” as mentioned above. Please dress your child according to the theme. There are some relevant costumes available for rent in the Dramatics Shop at the school campus if you would like to be saved the trouble of buying one.

It would be wonderful to have you attend this Christmas party as it will be a great bonding exercise for you and your child along with showing him or her the true spirit of this season. We look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
