Sample Letter of Concern to Bank

By | December 14, 2014

It is time to write a letter of concern to your bank if you have noticed something peculiar about your account or are concerned about any unverified activity in it. A letter of concern will be addressed to your personal banker and it should contain details of why you have decided to write this letter and what action you would like the bank authorities to take.

Since banks are responsible for safeguarding your money and valuables, it is their right to know if a client has felt that something is not right with their account. It could be something as minor as a bank charge or something major such as theft or activity that you have not authorized. In any of these cases, a letter of concern to your bank will ensure that your account is made secure immediately.

Have a look at the following sample letter of concern to a bank from a customer.

Sample Letter of Concern to Bank

December 14, 2014

Mr. Anakin Skywalker
Personal Banker
Yadkin Bank
244 Locust Street
Follansbee, WV 62911

Dear Mr. Skywalker:

I am writing this letter to you to express my concern regarding something unusual that I have noticed in my bank account. Please refer below for details:

Account Title: Morgan Reeman
Account #: 1289-9182-882-1

Credit as of November 15, 2014: $102,223.44
Credit as of November 29, 2014: $102,220.44
Credit as of November 30, 2014: $102,215.44
Credit as of December 10, 2014: $102,000.44
Credit as of December 12, 2014: $102,002.44

Please refer to the small yet obvious changes in credit between November 15 and December 12. Money has been taken out of this account and put back into it on the last date. My original credit should stand at $102,223.44 after the last online transaction that I made on November 14. I downloaded my statement which has no record of where this money went and why $2 were added on December 12.

I change my online password every few weeks and I have done so again on December 12 after which there has not been any activity in this account. I find the nature of these financial transactions very suspicious; it seems as if my account was hacked at some point, unbeknownst to the bank authorities. I would like my account to be frozen on an immediate basis and I request you to investigate what transpired between November 15 and December 12.

Having banked with Yadkin Bank for seven years, I am aware of the tight security measures that the bank takes where clients’ accounts are concerned. I would appreciate it if you would handle this situation with due diligence and in a prompt manner.

Thank you.

Regards,

Solomon Keys
