Business Thank You Letter for Cooperation and Support

By | January 9, 2017

In this modern world, one should have close and secure business relationships. To achieve that, it has become necessary to write thank you and apology letters more often. Business letters are particularly difficult, as you can’t be too informal or formal, but somewhere in the middle.

Writing someone a thank you letter for whatever reason is appreciated, as it shows the recipient that you have acknowledged them. Showing gratitude is a humbling act, and being humble is an admirable quality in the business world. These sorts of letters help strengthen bonds between business, and good business relations are hard to come by these days. Start the letter with a heartfelt thank you, and proceed to the details of how they supported you.

Just remember to personalize and not sound robotic, which is alienating, as it will have the opposite effect. Try to be as specific as possible, and mention things you appreciate the most about them, to make the letter more authentic. Here’s a sample to help you write a thank you letter.

Dear Mr. Callahan:

I am pleased to let you know that through our collaborated effort, Morva&Tech, our joint venture, has successfully sold three billion products in the first month. Even my marketing department didn’t predict such a success, and I would like to thank you for your support and cooperation through every step of the way.

This is a rare occurrence indeed, two former rival companies coming together to form a sensational hit. This letter is to thank you and all your employees on behalf of every member of the Morva family. No one expected us to work together, and to be honest even I was skeptical that this would be possible, but you proved me wrong with your professionalism and patience. We have set the trend with our new line of products, and I hope we will have the chance to pull another feat like this again in the near future.

Again, thank you for everything. I have attached a few reports which my company has prepared that predict the future of this joint venture and a few suggestions for future steps.

Looking forward to even more astounding results to come and new heights to be scaled by our joint venture, I remain,

Sincerely,

(Signature)
