Customers are businesses’ prime assets – this is no secret. And to be able to retain their business, one has to go through many things, just to make sure that customers are happy and satisfied with the services that they have been provided, and the products that they have bought. While it is not really possible to send a thank you note or letter to every customer who makes a purchase at your store (even though some companies do this), it makes sense to send a thank you note to a customer who has bought something big. A big buy means increased revenue for the company, so the least that you can do is say thank you!

Some organizations deem it suitable to write a short thank you note and be done with the deed. Others take this opportunity of making direct contact with the customer by writing a somewhat detailed note that says thank you, and provides additional information such as new products and deals. A thank you note can easily become a marketing letter, charting out what other things that the customer can buy. And this can be beneficial for both ends.
