Christmas Party Letter to Employees

By | December 3, 2016

Christmas is not far away and the feeling of happiness and giving is palpable. Even at the workplace, the spirit of Christmas is high, with many people counting the days when the biggest event of the year will come! With everyone in such a festive mood, a corporate Christmas party is an absolute must.

If you have decided that this year, you would like to throw a Christmas party for your employees, it is time that you started. After you have successfully sorted out the details of the party – such as food and décor – it is time you wrote the invitation. In a corporate environment, it is not necessary to design and print cards for such a party – you can write a letter to your employees, providing them with details of when the party is to be held and what time they should show up. If you want your employees to help you organize the party, you can ask for volunteers through the letter.

A Christmas party letter should be informal (bordering on professional) and lighthearted. This is a great way of reaching out to your employees to encourage them, and to ensure a positive close to the year. Here is a sample for you to use:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Re: Christmas Party

Dear Team Members:

2016 has been a fabulous year bagging and completing many projects within provided deadlines. And I have all of you to thank for it. As the year draws to a close and Christmas approaches, I would like to invite you all for an office Christmas party to be held a day before holidays begin. Please refer below for details:

Date: December 23, 2016
Venue: Office Grounds
Time: 2 pm to 9pm

If any of you would like to volunteer to help me organize it, I could use some talent with Christmas décor. The food and entertainment will be provided by the office – if you have suggestions on food items that go with the spirit of this holiday, do not hesitate to pitch in ideas. It would be lovely if all of you could make it so that before we depart for the holidays, we have one more memory to look back on.

Please note that Thursday 22nd will be the last working day, and all of us will report back to work on January 5, 2016.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you all.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
