Sample Letter to Parents about Class Party

By | January 3, 2015

A class party can be organized for any reason – Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving, Easter and Birthdays are popular reasons for holding class parties but these are not the only ones. A school may want to organize a class part to mark the beginning of a term or a good student evaluation. Once it is sorted out that a class party is to be arranged, it is the duty of the class teacher to send out letters to parents to inform them about the event.

Class party letters include basic information of why a party is being organized and how the teacher wants children to be involved in the festivities. In some instances, parents may also be asked to join their children for a class party. Basically, a class party letter will include date and time of the party and the place it is being held in. You might ask parents to send in a food and / or decoration item with their child.

Here is a sample letter to parents about an upcoming class party.

Sample Letter to Parents about Class Party

January 3, 2015

Dear Parents:

To celebrate the academic success that Grade 2 students achieved in the latter part of 2014, we are organizing a class party on January 16, 2015. The party will be held at the Grade 2 classroom between 12 pm and 3 pm.

Our students are very excited at the prospect of celebrating their success and are busy planning the logistics of the event. They have decided the menu amongst themselves and provided us with a list so that we can inform the parents. Your child is required to bring 6 packs of juice to share with his / her friends at the party. The decorations of the party and photograph sessions will be taken care of by the school committee.

If for any reason, your child is unable to attend school on this day, please let us know in advance. Please note that class photographs will be taken on this day as well so you are requested to dress your child in appropriate clothes. Classes will remain on schedule before 12 pm so please send your child’s bag and books with him / her.

Photographs for the class party will be available at the school office a week from the date of the party. If you would like to order prints, please contact the school office. You may contact us at (111) 111-1111 if you need further information.

Thank you,

Regards,
